It’s that time of year again — time for parents and kids to think about school schedules, clothes and supplies.
There are kids in our community who need help getting their school supplies.
Will you be able to help?
Below is the list of items needed. Please purchase the items and leave at the Community United Methodist Church or the collections barrels at the Alco or Family Dollar stores. Of course, if you prefer not to do the shopping, we will need money to purchase the items not donated. Checks can be made out to CUMC with a note in the memo line for “school supplies.”
Distribution will be at the Catholic Parish Hall on Lewis Street on Tuesday, Aug. 23. We are asking that parents bring their children between noon and 5:30 p.m. Parents will need to sign up at the Department of Human Services by Aug. 19.
Every little bit you can do will be much appreciated by the children and teachers of Archuleta County School District 50 Jt.

Notebook paper — wide ruled.
Notebook paper — college ruled.
Black composition notebook.
Spiral notebook — one subject wide and college rule.
Spiral notebook — three subject.
Three ring binders — 1 inch, 2 inch.
Dividers for three ring binder.
Scissors – large, pointed.
Flash drive/memory stick.
Pencils — No. 2.
Colored pencils and markers.
Pencil sharpener with cover.
Highlighters — multiple colors.
Large pink erasers.
Glue sticks and bottle.
Crayon — eight count and 16 count.
Scientific calculator, (should cost no more than $14).
