BAYFIELD SCHOOL DISTRICT 10 Jt-R
LA PLATA COUNTY, COLORADO
The Board of Education of Bayfield School District 10 Jt-R in the County of La Plata, State of Colorado, calls for nomination of candidates for school directors to be placed on the ballot for the regular biennial school election to be held of Tuesday, November 1, 2011.
At this election three (3) directors will be elected for four (4) year terms, and one director will be elected for a two (2) year term. To be qualified, a candidate must have been a registered elector of the school district for at least twelve consecutive months before the election. A person is ineligible to run for school director if he or she has been convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child.
A person who desires to be a candidate for school director shall file a written notice of intention to be a candidate and a nomination petition which requires fifty (50) valid signatures in accordance with law.
Nomination petitions may be obtained at the Bayfield School District Administration Office, 24 Clover, Bayfield, Colorado, 81122. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..
Completed petitions should be submitted to the La Plata County County Clerk and Recorder (Elections) Office, 98 Everett Street, Suite C, Durango, Colorado 81303, no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2011.
