This summer, kids can come to the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts for a fun filled three-week camp where they will study acting, singing and dancing through many fun theatre games as they rehearse for the Disney show “Jungle Book.”
Camp starts on Tuesday, July 5, and runs Monday through Thursday until July 21 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day.
Campers must bring a sack lunch, a water bottle and sunscreen, as some of our activities will take place outside.
The first annual theater summer camp is run by the Center for the Arts Executive Director Laura Moore. Laura has years of experience acting on a variety of stages as well as running the summer camp in Lake Dillon, Colo. She is also the teacher of the spring and fall Kids Playshops where the kids write and perform an original work together.
The camp is open to kids ages 7-12. The cost is $300 for kids who register before June 25 and $325 for kids who register after June 25.
The final performance for the camp will take place on Thursday, July 25, at 5:30 p.m. All campers must be able to attend the final performance unless given special permission by Laura Moore at the time of registration.
The first week of camp is open to kids who are unable to attend the whole camp or the performance for $150. Registration forms and checks can be mailed to Thingamajig Theatre Company 2313 Eagle Drive Pagosa Springs CO 81147.
