We are only three weeks away from Archuleta County’s Relay for Life, to be held June 25-26 this year at the Pagosa Springs High School sports complex.
There are several activities still to come, and everyone is cordially welcome to participate.
• Friday, June 17 — Bank Night. Location yet to be determined.
• Saturday, June 18 — Third annual Ride for Life Poker Run Motorcycle Ride. $25 single, $35 couple. $500 for High Hand, $200 for Low Hand.
Registration is at Mountain Home Sound and Security, 135 Country Center Drive, Ste. C, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Closing festivities, 3 p.m. at Buffalo Inn, 164 Pagosa Blvd. The public is welcome and encouraged to join us. There will be live music, food and drink specials, a silent auction and a drawing.
All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Calling all cancer survivors
Every year there is a special ceremony honoring cancer survivors and their caregivers. Each registered survivor will receive a free RFL T-shirt when they check in the afternoon of the event. Please register online at www.archuletarelay.org, or contact LaQuita Johnson at 264-0661.
You can remember a loved one who has experienced cancer with a luminaria. Each bag represents a life and costs $10.
