Senior Center activities, menu

Substitute home-delivery meal volunteers are needed to deliver meals when daily volunteers cannot. Call Jodi or Musetta at 264-2167.

Transportation

We have a Senior Bus that runs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call Jodi Starr at 264-2167 for details.

Friday, May 13 — Geezers 9 a.m.; Stitchin’ in the Kitchen 10 a.m.; Gym Walk 12:30 p.m.; ASI board meeting.

Monday, May 16 — Gym Walk 12:30 p.m.; “Summer Reading Program” by Tess Michaelson; Canasta 1 p.m.

Tuesday, May 17 — Gym Walk 12:30 p.m.; Meditation for Healing 1 p.m.

Wednesday, May 18 — “Introduction to Medicare” by Katie Deschler 10:30 a.m.; blood pressure checks 11 a.m.; Sky Ute Casino 1 p.m.

Thursday, May 19 — Administrative day.

This week’s menu

Suggested donation for older adults age 60-plus is $3, kids 12 and under and guests $6. Our meal program is partially funded through the Older Americans Act, United Way, and Archuleta County, Town of Pagosa Springs and other contributions and grants. These funds help support the cost of the meal which is approximately $9.75. Please note our menu is subject to change. The salad bar opens at 11:30 a.m. with lunch served from noon to 12:30 p.m.

Friday, May 13 — Salmon with spinach sauce, baked potato, hash brown casserole, broccoli, whole wheat roll, mandarin oranges, oatmeal raisin cookie.

Monday, May 16 — Macaroni and cheese with ham, tossed salad, peas, bran muffin, mandarin oranges and pineapple.

Tuesday, May 17 — Lemon chicken, split pea soup, oven browned potatoes, broccoli cuts, whole wheat roll, chocolate pudding.

Wednesday, May 18 — Barbecue beef brisket, baked potato, tosses salad, whole wheat roll, fresh orange.

Thursday, May 19 — Administrative day.

Friday, May 20 — Spinach lasagna, italian vegetables, tossed salad, italian bread, strawberry fruit whip topped with banana slices.
