Whether you are a first-time visitor to Pagosa Springs, or a longtime resident, you are cordially invited to enjoy the “Spring View” show on display at SHY RABBIT through Sunday, June 5.
This colorful three-person show features an impressive selection of beautiful nature-inspired woodcuts by nationally recognized printmaker and art educator, Jean Gumpper; several elegant sculptures by celebrated North Carolina ceramist, Jeff Pender; and a wide variety of skillfully crafted sculptural and functional ceramics by award-winning Colorado artist and art educator D. Michael Coffee.
A wide assortment of unique fine art prints is also on display in SHY RABBIT’s foyer and print studio galleries by select gallery artists.
SHY RABBIT Contemporary Arts; Gallery, Studio and Workshops houses a fine art gallery and working ceramic studio, two mixed-media workshops and rotating exhibition spaces.
Located “off the beaten path” in a commercial district and in a metal building that once housed an auto repair shop, SHY RABBIT has become widely recognized as the area’s leading contemporary art destination.
Established in 2004, the facility has grown from 1,000 to 4,000 square feet, and has received acclaim for its contribution to the advancement of contemporary art and art education.
The contemporary art space encompasses 4,000 square feet, and is currently open to the public Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at no charge, and daily by chance.
SHY RABBIT Contemporary Arts is located at 333 Bastille Drive; two blocks north of U.S. 160, off of North Pagosa Boulevard, west of the City Market complex.
