The Pirate track and field team finished the pre-spring break portion of the schedule with a strong performance at Center last weekend.
The Pirate girls took first place in the 20-team meet, the Pirate boys third.
The girls’ team built its point advantage with 10 top-three finishes at Center.
Danielle Pajak took first place in the 800-meter run, finishing with a time of 2 minutes, 35.84 seconds.
Toni Stoll was first in the triple jump, nailing a distance of 35 feet.
The girls 4x400 team topped the field with a time of 4:31.05, and the 4x800 team won the event with a time of 11:12.39.
Stoll was second in the 100 hurdles, crossing the finish line at 17.37.
Gabby Pajak took second in the long jump, with a distance of 16-5.
Katie Armbrecht placed second in shot put, throwing 31-4.5.
Gabby Pajak placed third in the 400, running the race in 1:05.23. She was also third in triple jump, hitting a distance of 32-9.75.
Stoll was third in long jump, at 14-11.
On the boys’ side, Zach Lucero scored his first win of the season at Center, finishing first in the 800 with a time of 2:08.53.
Carlos Brinkmann crossed the finish line first in the 3,200 run, logging a time of 10:56.61.
The boys’ 4x800 relay team won the event with a time of 9:18.11.
Zerek Jones ran to second place in the 200, with a time of 23.92.
Colton Polczynski took second in the 3,200, finishing the run at 11:40.65.
Garrett Stoll placed third in triple jump, with a distance of 39-0.25.
The boys’ 4x100 team was third, at 47.48.
The team now has time off from competition before returning to action at the Pine River Invitational April 9.
