Experience the Jewish Passover and Christian Communion

In 2009 a local Pagosa church ventured into uncharted territory to hold a full meal replica of the Jewish Passover as it pertained to Christian Holy Communion.  That event, titled “Messiah in the Passover,” was an overwhelming community success; not one seat was left unattended.

With exciting remembrances, and continual feedback from the Pagosa community, CrossRoad Christian Fellowship is presenting this exciting event again.  For those who attended in 2009 it is an opportunity to refresh yourself with the roots of Judaism as it pertained to the Jewish people being delivered from the bondage/slavery in Egypt.  For those who missed that Passover Seder event, a wonderful opportunity presents itself for learning and experiencing this powerful and holy occasion.

“Messiah in the Passover” will be presented by Cathy Wilson from Chosen People Ministries.  Cathy graduated from Northeastern Bible College in 1974 with a B.A. in Biblical Literature.  She will present a powerful visual message given through drama and a full meal including the Passover Seder.  The various elements of the meal, the serving method, sequence and procedure will be explained — illustrating not only Israel’s freedom from slavery in Egypt, but also how individuals can be redeemed from the bondage of sin.  You will come away with a deeper understanding of both the Jewish Passover and the Communion table.

This experience will be held at CrossRoad Christian Fellowship on April 8 at 6 p.m.  The church is located at 1044 Park Ave., just west of the Pagosa Lakes Recreation Center.  To assist with defraying the cost, a small charge of $4 per person or $10 per family (with three or more) is required.  Children are most welcome and will be seated as a family with their parents.  A love offering will be taken for Chosen People Ministries.

Because seating is limited and a sellout audience is expected for this awe-inspiring event, reservations are required no later than April 6.  Please call the church at 731-4384 to reserve your seating. Tickets cannot be sold at the door.
