The Pagosa Springs Police Department is seeking help identifying an individual suspected of possible fraudulent use of a credit card and shoplifting offenses.
Sunday, March 13, an unidentified man entered Mountain Spirits liquor store in the Pagosa Country Center and reportedly shoplifted items, prompting the store’s clerk to call the PSPD, said Det. Scott Maxwell. The man was caught on the store’s surveillance camera.
The next day, the suspect entered and attempted to pay for a purchase with a credit card that the same clerk knew did not belong to the man. The card was declined and the clerk recorded the name on the card.
Maxwell said the suspect reportedly entered the store again Thursday and was confronted by an employee before leaving.
Now, the PSPD is looking for help identifying the man caught on the store’s surveillance footage.
Anyone who believes they can identify the suspect is urged to call Maxwell at 264-4151, Ext. 241.
