The Southwestern Water Conservation District will hold its 29th annual water seminar on Friday, April 1, at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio, in Durango.
This year’s theme is “Different Views, Same Goals,” and there is a lineup of notable speakers who will address water issues in the west. Invited speakers include Dan Keppen, Family Farm Alliance; John Stulp, special policy advisor to governor on water; Dick Wolfe, Colorado state engineer; Joy Lujan, National Parks Service; and Ann Christiansen, DHM Design, among others.
Registration is $30 in advance and $32 at the door, per person. This fee includes morning and afternoon snacks and a buffet lunch. Registration on April 1 begins at 8 a.m. The seminar will finish at approximately 4:30 p.m.
