The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will be held today, Thursday, March 17.
The parade will be begin at 4:30 p.m. and run on U.S. 160 from 6th Street to 2nd Street, with staging for the parade being held this year at the high school.
Businesses, organizations, school and youth groups, families or individuals should come out and compete for some of the awards. There will be cash prizes awarded for the Best Float, the Greenest entry or the Most Bizarre entry. A $5 entrance fee is requested.
This is spring break week and a lot of people will be out watching the parade so make the most of touting your business or just having fun. Spectators should line up along U.S. 160 in the downtown area.
Get out and celebrate on this day when everyone is Irish.
