Estudio Y Galeria, after a long awaited reopening process, will hostthe March Sundowner on Wednesday, March 23, at 84 Goldmine Drive from 5-7 p.m. We are introducing new ventures in addition to our gallery and pottery studio. We will provide live music by two wonderful artists for your enjoyment and we invite you to share this evening with Estudio Y Galeria and the Pagosa Springs Arts Council.
Music Boosters has scheduled audtions for their upcoming production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “South Pacific.” Auditions will take place Saturday, March 26, noon-4 p.m. in the band room at the high school. Call Dale Morris 731-3370, www.pagosamusicboosters.org.

This year we are proud to announce that some of our local galleries and businesses have graciously offered to hold exhibits while providing new, fresh, environments for showcasing the work of Pagosa’s talented artists. Following is the lineup for 2011.
May 6-June 16: “Advanced Art Student Exhibit” hosted by Estudio Y Galleria.
June 17-July 28: “8th Annual Juried Exhibit: A Regional Art Competition” hosted by Lantern Dancer.
July 29-Sept. 8: “Pagosa As Art” hosted by The Wildflower.
Sept. 9-Oct. 20: “Artist Challenge: Kinetic Art” location to be announced.
Oct. 21-Dec. 1: “Contemporary Exhibit” hosted by Wild Spirit Gallery
Dec. 2-3: “Tiny Treasures” Fundraiser hosted by The Artist Within
Additional events on the schedule are: Community Center Rummage Sale in April; The Art of Coffee in April; The Art of Wine Tasting in May; Golden Retriever Roundup June 24 and 25; and the Artists’ Studio and Gallery Tour Oct. 7, 8 and 9.
The Photography Club meets the second Wednesday of each month during the club year from September through May at 6 p.m. Photography enthusiasts are welcome to attend at no charge for the first meeting. PSAC invites you to join
Started in 1988 the Pagosa Springs Arts Council, a non-profit organization, was conceived and developed to, in part, promote the awareness of the vast array of local artistic talent, provide educational and cultural activities in the community, sponsor exhibits and workshops by local and regional, and encourage and support continued appreciation and preservation of the aesthetic beauty of Pagosa Springs.
If you would like to join the Pagosa Springs Arts Council, please mail your name, address, phone number and email address to PSAC, P.O. Box 533, and Pagosa Springs, CO 81147. You will also need to enclose a check payable to PSAC for the membership rate of your choice.
Membership rates are: Youth-$15; Individual Senior-$25; Individual Regular-$30; Family Senior-$40; Family Regular-$45; Business-$80; Patron-$250; Benefactor-$500, Director-$1,000 and Guarantor-$2,500 and up. The senior age requirement is 65-plus.
