The Pagosa Springs Music Boosters organization announces auditions for their summer 2011 musical, the classic “South Pacific,” by Rodgers & Hammerstein, long asked for as a favorite from the Pagosa community. 

Auditions will be held Saturday March 26, from noon–4 p.m. in the band room at Pagosa Springs High School. 

Please prepare one verse of a song to sing, preferably a Broadway show tune, and bring your music.  An accompanist will be provided for your audition piece.  A script read and group dance will be part of the casting process. 

We are seeking performers of all experience levels to cast in “South Pacific” — from stage veterans to first-timers, from solo roles to supporting and chorus members. 

Being cast in a Music Boosters show offers a theater apprenticeship opportunity in performing arts education unique to community theater in Pagosa;  it offers a way in which to support the performing arts in our schools.
