This introductory printmaking course will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 5 and 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Course fee: $235; Includes all necessary course materials, inks and paper.
This two-day introductory workshop utilizes a unique hand-pressed printing process called “Reductive Ink”™, designed and developed by D. Michael Coffee.
Participants will be introduced to the basics of this unique printmaking technique, and will learn how it can replicate traditional printmaking processes without the use of harmful chemicals or expensive printmaking presses.
Students are provided with a materials list, and are encouraged to advance at their own pace by practicing this remarkable printmaking technique in the privacy of their own home.
Workshops are also designed for those with traditional printmaking experience, and are geared to enhance existing skill levels in preparation for intermediate and advanced classes, if desired.
