The Pagosa Springs Photography Club will meet Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Shy Rabbit Art Center, 333 Bastille Drive.
Join us for socializing starting at 6 p.m., followed by photo critiquing, program and business meeting at 6:30. Please note the new location for this meeting.
For this month’s club meeting program the club is pleased to present Jeff Laydon.
The subject will be “Questions you’ve always wanted to ask a photographer” — basically an open discussion, with Jeff taking questions from the membership and guests. Jeff Laydon has been a commercial and portrait photographer since 1980. Since moving to Pagosa Springs, he’s been making pictures of the people, products and places in his downtown photography studio, and in beautiful (maybe a better word would be “breathtaking”) Pagosa Springs, the surrounding forests, and the rest of the Four Corners area of southern Colorado.
A photo exhibit is held during each club meeting. Two categories are presented — the monthly theme category and the open category in which any subject is allowed.
This month’s theme is “Night Photography.” Members may enter as many as three prints or six digital images. President T.J. Reynolds will lead the critique of photos. This will be done as a group rather than by specified judges.
The Photography Club meets the second Wednesday of each month during the club year from September through May. Interested photography enthusiasts are welcome to attend at no charge for the first meeting. Any and all are invited to join for annual dues of $20 for single individuals and $30 for family membership.
For more information, contact T.J. Reynolds at firstname.lastname@example.org or 731-9581.
