Pagosa Ranger District is now hiring seasonal employees to work as temporary technicians in our fire program for the 2011 summer season.
Temporary positions are available for both BLM and Forest Service. Jobs may include fire suppression and mechanical fuels treatment.
Employment will begin in late April and last until mid-October 2011. Candidates must be citizens of the United States and at least 18 years of age at the time they are available for work. Salaries range from $11.75 to $13.14 per hour. Positions require manual labor, and some require camping out in the backcountry. Overtime is possible if you are assigned to a fire.
