During winter break, drop off your child at our Hands On Arts Camp with art teachers Lisa Brown and Tessie Garcia.
We will do “Teachers’ Favorite” art projects such as making reclaimed wool sweater hats and mittens, sock snowmen sculptures, calendars, drawing and painting, cooking, musical instruments, and outdoor activities.
The classes will be held at the Pagosa Springs Elementary School Art Room. This program is for students in first to sixth grades. It will be held Monday through Thursday, Dec. 27-30, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Location: Cost is $35 per day. Tuition includes instruction and supplies.
Early registration is encouraged. Class is limited to 20 students per day. Daily space is depended on availability, first-come, first-served. Print out a registration form at our web page, www.hands-on-artscamp.com.
Also, our motto is “Art for a Greener World. “ We encourage and educate students in reusing, reducing and recycling. We would appreciate the following items for our classes: used wool sweaters (90-100 percent wool) for making hats and mittens and colored socks for our snowmen sculpture.
For more information call Lisa at 731-3546 or Tessie at 731-9244 /769-4212. The best time to reach us is in the evening. Also, information on the camp can be found on our website, www.hands-on-artscamp.com
Students need to wear comfortable older clothes and they need to bring winter gear, a snack, water, lunch and a good Art-i-tude!
Hands-On Arts Camp is sponsored by FolkWest and Pagosa Springs Elementary School.
