The Christmas Eve service at Community United Methodist Church at will begin at 7 p.m.
The miracle of Christmas will be portrayed through both music and scripture.
The choir, along with varied musical accompaniment, will provide a variety of Christmas music, and the congregation will have the opportunity to join with songs of praise. The Quadribet handbell choir has rehearsed special music to perform for the evening.
Everyone is invited to attend this celebration.
There will also be a New Year’s Eve service at the church. Such services are often held at midnight, but here the celebration of the new year will be held on “modified eastern standard time.” The service will begin at 9:30 p.m. and will offer everyone a chance to not only reflect on the past year, but to look ahead to hopes, plans and possible new beginnings for 2011.
