Attention all Marines in the Pagosa Springs area.
On Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m., there will be a celebration of the United States Marine Corps’ 235th birthday at the Pagosa Lakes Clubhouse, located at 230 Port Ave.
This year, we are going to try something a little different. In an effort to get the cost down, we are going to try a potluck dinner and are asking each couple to bring a side dish or an appetizer. Good old-fashioned smoked brisket, chicken, beans and bread will be provided. Salads and other vegetable dishes would be welcomed, and this will be a BYOB event. You are welcome to bring whatever your drink of choice is, and I believe that Sepp Ramsperger has offered some wine he has been saving for this year’s party.
The cost will be $10 per person and, hopefully, that will cover the cost of renting the building and cleanup. Dress will be casual and we will plan on having a cake and getting an officer’s sword dirty again.
Members of other services are also invited and welcome. Please R.S.V.P. if you plan on attending by calling either Scott Kay at 264-4539 or Rick Taylor at 264-6780. Or, if you would rather just send your R.S.V.P. and the cost per person, send it to AAA Propane, Inc., P.O. Box 1960, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147. Mark the envelope USMC.
Please RSVP so we can get an accurate count, and please attend.
