David Petit memorial art exhibit at Tara Mandala

Tara Mandala Retreat Center presents an ongoing memorial art exhibit of David C. Petit’s captivating paintings in watercolor, oil and pastel.

Petit, co-founder of Tara Mandala and husband of Lama Tsultrim Allione, passed away at his home in Pagosa Springs on July 22.

David began painting in Bali in 1990 and painted from then on whenever he had free time, particularly during his Colorado years, 1994-2010. He painted privately, almost never sharing his work.

Through his paintings, one finds that David reveals his soul’s journey, his inner struggles and his path into the light.

Visitors are welcome to view the paintings by calling 731-3711, Ext. 108, to schedule an appointment.

The exhibit is located on the first floor of the Tara Temple at Tara Mandala. Directions can be found at www.taramandala.org or by calling 731-3711, Ext. 5.

Tara Mandala is a member of the Pagosa Springs Arts Council.
