An Oct. 2 Contra Dance has been scheduled for Park Elementary School, 510 E.  6th Ave., Durango

Beginner dance instruction is at 7 p.m.. 

Contra Dance with band Hands 5 from Albuquerque, and caller Wendy Graham from Durango, 7:30-10:15.

All dances are taught and called.  No partner is necessary, and dancers of all ages and abilities are welcome.  Admission is $10.  First-timers get a pass to come back for free.

These smoke-and alcohol-free dances are a project of the Durango Arts Center.
