The Ross Aragon Community Center and Elation Center for the Arts are teaming up Sept. 17 to bring you a great show: “Pianist, Poet, Comedian” featuring John Graves with collaborators DC Duncan, Johnny K and Natalie Oman.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Cash bar and sweet and savory treats will be available to delight you.
Tickets in advance are $10 and are $12 at the door. Kids 18 and under are free. You can purchase tickets at the center and Higher Grounds Coffee.

Belly dancing classes. Instructor Carla Roberts has a beginning class for adults from 2-3:30 p.m., and an after-school class for youngsters ages 12 to 17 from 3:30-5 p.m. All classes are held on Wednesdays, are free and require comfortable clothing allowing you to stretch and move freely. Pickleball. Pickleball is a game for all ages. It is a lot like tennis, except with less running. Join us Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9 -11 a.m. to play. If you have never played we will hold instructional sessions those same mornings at 8 a.m. All you need are tennis shoes and a willingness to have fun. Tai Chi. No experience is necessary; join instructors Pam Kircher and Anna O’Reilly. Classes are Friday from 11 a.m.-noon. Please wear flat-soled shoes and bring water. Class is open to everyone.
Dance for Health. Wednesdays 10-11:30 a.m. Class is geared to the older adult, but we are open to everyone. Wear loose, comfortable clothing; bring a mat and large towel or throw, and let your inner dancer free!

Morning yoga. The first Tuesday of each month will be geared towards beginners with individual instruction, but everyone is welcome at all classes. The following Tuesday will move more quickly. The Ross Aragon Community Center has the space your are looking for. We have reasonably-priced rooms to meet your event needs. Our rates range from $6 to $72 per hour. Room sizes for 20, 40, 50, 90 or 500 people.
The community center hours are Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
