On Sunday, June 20, the community helped me have a fund-raiser by either donating an item or giving a cash donation. We had a successful silent auction, which helped raise $2,400, which paid for most of my way to Challenge, and thanks to an anonymous donor who paid the rest of my way and three others to attend.
A special thanks to all the donors in the community: JJ’s, Victoria’s Cafe, DSP, Chavolo’s, Boss Hogg’s, Ramon’s Mexican Restaurant, DJ’s Italian Grill, Rainbow Gifts, Humane Society, Christmas in Pagosa, The Club, The Spa, Overlook, the Body Shop, Pedal Power, Goodman’s, Walt Moore Chiropractic, Pagosa Nursery, Next Door, Shear Talk, Enchanted Valley Farms, Coyote Jane’s Trading Post, Switchback Mountain Wear, Tree of Life Massage, Summit Sports, Re-Sport and Family Dollar. The people who donated are: Susan Ward, Patrick Sullivan, Steve Sewell, Ruth Paulson, Nick and Chrissy Karas, Ilene Haykus, Justin Stone, Cindy Housten, Dick Babillis, Karen Aspin, Pam Kircher, Vicki Gould, Scott Slind, Erin Jeansonne, Jackie Louise, Lexi Foreman, Camille Braselman and Kim. This was an expedited effort that was done with the help of Karen Kauffman, Bill and Karen Aspin, Trish Lash, Mary Tighe and Amanda Duval.
Thank you so much for your support. This was a fun experience for me and I have learned a lot and I look forward to helping other leaders get to Challenge for a more open and organized world. I look forward to helping this community through the years. Thank you for helping me to become a leader.
I would like to thank my precious Lord for answering our prayers. I would also like to thank Cindy and Lindsey for having a bake sale. We did very well.
I thank God for blessing me with such wonderful friends and relatives. Thanks, everyone, for your wonderful food, most needed donations and most of all, your prayers.
Now I can bring my son home where he belongs. Please keep praying for his recovery.
God bless you all. You are in my prayers.
Linda, Bob and family
