Music in the Mountains presents free performance

Pagosa Springs Town Park will once again be the location for a free performance for area residents and visitors at noon Wednesday, July 28.

This year’s presentation will be an alternative offering for Family Festivo.

Everyone is invited to bring a picnic lunch to the park, sit down on your blanket or portable chairs, and enjoy this superb musical offering sponsored by Al and Marti Bledsoe.

Four professional brass players who hail from Texas and New Mexico will come together to present some light musical fare that people of all ages are sure to enjoy. The players include trombonist Byron Herrington of Albuquerque, N.M.; trombonist Christopher Oliver of Dallas, Texas; trombonist Rob Graham of Mesquite Texas; and tuba player Richard White, also from Albuquerque.

Bottled water will be provided for the event, free of charge. Mark your calendars now for this fun event.

Music in the Mountains also has some tickets available for their gala benefit this Saturday featuring violinist Dmitri Berlinsky and his wife, pianist Elena Baksht.

Tickets for the two concerts with popular favorites Vadim Gluzman and Aviram Reichert are also available at Pagosa Springs Visitor Center (Chamber of Commerce building) on Hot Springs Boulevard, or by calling 264-2360.

This year, an added attribute of the Music in the Mountains concert season will be a 10-percent discount at various local restaurants with proof of your concert ticket purchase.
