Our yoga class has been running for three years, and Diana Baird has volunteered her time without fail.
In Diana’s words, “I’ve been exercising in various forms, but not very strenuously, most of my adult life. In Bakersfield California where we lived for many years before moving here, I spent time doing aerobics. When yoga was finally offered, I was enamored with it. I’ve practiced under several instructors and have attended workshops, each presenting varying viewpoints. When the previous instructor here moved away, with trepidation I took up the reins. Every Tuesday, I am inspired by my fellow 13 practitioners. Please join us!”
Our great Celebrate America picnic extravaganza is July 1, 6-8:30 p.m., don’t miss it. There will be singing, and dancing to a great lineup of entertainers: line dancers, Israeli folk dancers, Zimbabwean marimbas, Paul and Carla Roberts multicultural roots music, and a great sing-along with DJ Dude.
There will be free punch, cake and 50-cent hot dogs, while they last. Remember to bring your favorite picnic food. this is a celebration for the entire family.
