The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Archuleta County begins on Friday, June 18, at Golden Peaks Stadium at the Pagosa Springs High School.
The opening ceremony, during which we honor our Cancer Survivors, begins at 6 p.m. Each registered survivor will receive a free RFL T-shirt and medal when they check into the event that afternoon. We hope that all cancer survivors will participate in this year’s opening ceremony, and the first relay lap honoring them and their caregivers that begins at 7 p.m..
All registered survivors will be acknowledged by having their names read during their walk around the track. This is a very touching ceremony and we hope you will participate. Following the opening ceremony, there will be a reception for the survivors and their caregivers in the survivor tent.
If you plan to join us, and we sincerely hope you will, please register online at www.archuletarelay.org or contact Carolyn Warszawski — Chair, Survivor/Caregiver Committee — at 731-9820. You can also call this number for or any additional information, questions, or special needs.
The Relay for Life of Archuleta County remembers those lost to cancer and honors those who have survived. We extend an invitation to everyone wishing to honor these brave people to join us July 18-19 on the field at the high school.
