When Overlook Hot Springs owner Jeff Greer offered his beautiful space for a Pagosa Waldorf Initiative benefit, we accepted gratefully. He generously offered to let us take over his space for an evening of local music and therapeutic soaking.
On Saturday, May 15 , we will enjoy the diverse talents of three of Pagosa’s favorite local acts for a fun night of songs and soaks. Pagosa legend John Graves will start the evening off with his beautiful piano music. Crowd-pleaser Brooks-i will play his blend of high-energy originals and covers. And perennial Pagosa favorites, Knucka, will close out the night with a groovy, foot-stomping acoustic set. With the Overlook’s excellent acoustics, it will be doubly relaxing to hear live songs wash over you as you soak.
A healthy community provides educational options for families that align with each child’s educational needs. The Pagosa Waldorf Initiative is proud to offer families in our community the educational option of Treasure Mountain Educational Cooperative.
If you visit Treasure Mountain Educational Cooperative you will see a vibrant, thriving school located in a beautiful farmhouse on over 22 acres. Children and parents alike love the curriculum that integrates students’ developmental needs with intellectual and artistic skills. Extensive parental involvement is a core tenant of the success of the school. We hope you can come see what we have accomplished because we truly could not have done it without community involvement. Our school has resonated with so many families that in April of this year we secured capacity enrollment for fall 2010 and began a waiting list for families hoping to enroll their children.
In order for our community to attract young families, keep them living here, and increase our quality of life and economic stability, we need diverse educational opportunities like Treasure Mountain Educational Cooperative.
We hope you’ll join us May 15 at the Overlook for an enjoyable night of entertainment and relaxation, and to support our school.
Tickets are $10 in advance, available at the Overlook, Pagosa Feed and Nursery, Jann C. Pitcher Real Estate, and Treasure Mountain Educational Cooperative, or $12 at the door.
