The Pagosa Springs Police Department is participating in the 2010 St. Patrick’s Day High Visibility Impaired Driving Enforcement (HVIDE) campaign.

Officers will increase patrols for the enforcement period starting March 17.

National traffic studies confirm that increased patrols provide a “risk of apprehension” thereby reducing the number of impaired driving traffic crashes.
