A major rockslide in Glenwood Canyon at mile marker 125, just west of the Hanging Lake Tunnel closed eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 between approximately Dotsero and Glenwood Springs.  Several detour routes are in place:

From westbound I-70: exit at U.S. 40/Empire to Colo. 13 and back to I-70; exit in Silverthorne and take Colo. 9 to U.S. 40 and Colo. 13; exit at Wolcott/Colo. 131 to U.S. 40 and Colo. 13.

From eastbound I-70: exit at Rifle/Colo.13 to U.S. 40 and back to I-70.

CDOT crews are on site assessing the slide area and damage to the roadway.
