Roger A. Hatfield, of Pagosa Springs, Colo., passed away Feb. 19, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Durango, Colo. Roger, for the past 18 months, fought a valiant fight against leukemia.
Formerly of Atkinson, Ill., Roger grew up around Cordova, Ill., and graduated from Riverdale High School.
Roger is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carol; and children James (Tammy) Neuleib, of Pagosa Springs; Nona (James) Diericx, of Atkinson, Ill.; Lori (Lee) Rodriguez, of Espanola, N.M.; Ed (Alberta) Neuleib, of Meeker, Colo.; and Jana (Bruce) Sivers, of Ignacio, Colo.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and two more great-grandchildren on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Robert (Diane) Hatfield, of Travelers Rest, N.C.; and niece Kristen Kennedy.
Roger was an avid sports lover, but his favorite was football and the Denver Broncos.
The family of Roger Hatfield will miss him dearly and so will his dogs, Ben and Mic.
