With an abundance of snow on the ground, and more falling Tuesday morning, conditions are good for Nordic skiing in Pagosa Country.

For those skiers who prefer groomed trails, following is an update of grooming projects.

The Pagosa Nordic Club groomed Yamaguchi Nordic Park and Reservoir Hill on Feb 2.

The Wolf Creek Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club groomed the following multi-use trails, which are great for skate skiing: Toner on Feb 4th

• Plumtaw, west side only, from the McMannus connection on Feb 4.

• Turkey Springs and Monument on Feb 2.

 The Forest Service groomed Coyote Hill Nordic Area on Feb 5..

WinterFest Nordic Ski Races are this weekend, Feb 13-14. Classic cross country ski and skate ski, and snowshoe races are scheduled.

Races will be held on Reservoir Hill and at Yamaguchi Nordic Ski Park.
