Natalie Woodruff has thrown her hat in the ring to run for Archuleta County Assessor.
For Woodruff, who ran as a write-in candidate in the 2006 election, goals and reasons to run are one and the same.
“I don’t think things have improved since I was a write-in candidate four years ago,” Woodruff said. “I still think the people of the county deserve to be kept informed. They deserve an assessor who is available and open minded and will be proactive in getting information out to the public, the property owners of the county.”
Woodruff said she hopes to work with the other elected officials to make the county viable, as well as making sure the assessor’s office “is making the best use of time, staff and funds.”
Previously, Woodruff worked in the Archuleta County Clerk’s office and as a chief title officer mapping legal descriptions at a title company. She now works at Wells Fargo in a job she says has taught her the customer service skills needed to work with the county’s property owners.
