Cards of Thanks

Trowbridge

It’s been one year since the unexpected death of Doug and we would like to convey our heartfelt gratitude to all of you.

When one door closes, another one opens. We could not have wished for a better place to be than in Pagosa Springs.. We found that we had more friends than we could have ever imagined! The way this community rallied around us was unbelievable. A part of us will always remain in Pagosa Springs no matter where we go from here. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!

Fix-It-Free Day

Thanks to everyone who helped with the seventh annual Computer Fix-It-Free Day held on Jan. 9. Fourteen technicians generously volunteered to work on over 46 computers for individuals who might otherwise have been unable to afford to get their computers up and running.

First and foremost, thanks to Lois Lee for scheduling and coordinating the event. Thanks also to Robbie Schwartz and the Humane Society for donating computer parts. Thanks to Tracy Bunning, Robin Ball, Jerad Davis and the many other individuals who donated computers and parts.

The hungry technicians want to give special thanks to the following: Robbie Schwartz and the Humane Society for donating coffee, donuts and bottled water; Allan Bunch and the Malt Shoppe for providing shakes; Veronica Chavez and Quiznos for donating sandwiches.

The Pagosa Springs Community Center donated the conference room in which the event was held, thanks to Cristin Robertson, Michelle Jamison and Thea Lanier. The Pagosa Springs SUN publicized the event, without which otherwise no one would have known about!

And a special thank you to all the technicians who selflessly gave their time and talents to fix the computers of those in need: Chris Anderson, Allan Bunch, Natalie Carpenter, Gabe Cersonski, Cullen Dalton, Don Ford, James Kolkau, Stanley Quaranta, Kurt Raymond, Frank Simbeck, Bill Schwan, Bob Walan, Peter Welsh and Dave Willsey.

We’ll be back in 2011, tentatively scheduled for Jan. 22.
