The Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce will hold the annual meeting and celebration Saturday, Jan. 23.
This year’s event — Winter Wonderland — will be held at the beautiful Winslow on the Shire, located on U.S. 84. Trying to outdo their efforts from last year, the Alley House Grille will be back, providing plentiful and delicious food. There will also be a cash bar and attendees will be entertained this year by the lively dance sounds of the popular local band and Chamber member, Leadfoot Ruthie. Dancing will ensue after the awards ceremony.
All the nominations are in, and the decisions have been made for Volunteer and Citizen of the Year. We want to thank all the people who provided these nominations. It was a difficult choice, but there are some great winners. Come out on the 23rd and find out first-hand who these winners are.
Although not a lot of exterior renovations were completed this past year in town, we will also recognize the Pagosa Pride winners — those businesses that have improved the aesthetics of their properties with a face lift or expansion. In addition, there will be a short Chamber year in review. We will highlight our community’s successes, and the efforts yet to come.
We will give out great prizes all night long, including a free yearly membership, ColorFest Wine Tasting tickets, a year’s admission to SunDowners, tickets to the Bands, Brews, Etc. festivities, and more.
This will also be the last time you will be able to vote for Chamber Board of Director nominees: Paul Boyd of Wells Fargo Bank; Thaddeus Cano, of Ski & Bow Rack; Lauren Cohen, of Life Expansion Center; Erin Jeansonne, of Cloud 9 Chiropractic; Madeline Lyons, of Wild Spirit Gallery; Wendy Saunders, of Artisans of the Southwest and Wendy Saunders Companies; Bill Schwab, of Piedra Automotive; Todd Starr, Archuleta County attorney; and Jon Zissman, optometrist of Mountain Eye Care. As a business owner, please take the time to stop by the Chamber or vote the night of the annual meeting for at least three of these candidates. They will be your voice for the next three years.
Tickets for Winter Wonderland are on sale at the Chamber for $35 per person. Tickets purchased at the door will be $40, so save a few dollars and get your tickets early. This fun-filled evening is also a great way to reward your employees and give them a night out on the town. For more information or to purchase your tickets over the phone, call the Chamber at 264-2360.
