Cards of Thanks

Police department

The Pagosa Springs Police Department would like to thank the NRA for their continued support. Once again, our department has received grant funds through their organization that have provided for ongoing officer safety and training. During times of a strained economy and tight budgets, the availability of grant funds such as these, allow us to continue to accomplish our mission in a safe and effective manner. Once again — Thank you to the NRA.

OSLPS

Our Savior Lutheran Preschool would like to thank La Plata Electric for awarding us grant money to help with scholarships and heating. During this difficult time, this money is helping many families. We would also like to thank Judy Smith for purchasing our Silent Night tree during the festival of trees. OSLPS feels very blessed by the continued support of this wonderful community.

Great Pagosan

We want to give a big thank you to a Pagosan.

We lost a large set of tools and Jim found them and made every effort to find the rightful owner, and get them back to us, even put an ad in this newspaper.

God bless the great people in Pagosa Springs.

Thanks,

Jeff and Donna

USJHD EMTs

The USJHD EMTs would like to take this opportunity to thank JJ’s Riverwalk Restaurant owner Kim Brown for the warm invitation during the holidays. Your Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner invitation for the on-duty crews during this time was most appreciated and welcomed. Being away from your family during the holidays is hard enough, but you made this very enjoyable for us, with your warmth and thoughtfulness. Thank you, Kim Brown, and your staff at JJ’s.

Sincerely,

USJHD EMTs

So many people came to help us when our house burned on New Year’s Eve. We are all okay and will recover together. Thank you to the fire department and all the volunteers who were there throughout the night in below-zero temperatures, along with the EMTs; Red Cross who came in the middle of the night and helped with emergency and basic needs; our families and friends who were there in an instant to give us comfort, clothing, boots, food and funds; Janet Sorensen, Bob Goodman of Goodman’s Department Store and the Humane Society Thrift Store, who opened their stores for us New Year’s Day; Oddfellows; all those who came to see us and called with care and concern; and for all the prayers. The outreach in time of need is amazing, and we are so grateful!

We appreciate every one of you.

Turner

We would like to give a special thank you to all our friends and family — the way we look at it, our friends are our family — for all the support they have given to us during these interesting times in our family’s life, dealing with Michael’s blood cancer. We are so blessed to live in this community where there is so much love, music and magic.

Much love,

The Turners: Mike, Alice, Alisha and Larissa
