We have our first fund-raiser of the year coming up in February.
It will be a St. Valentine’s Day Masquerade, 6:30-11 p.m. on Feb. 12.
Our Masquerade Melodies will be in the capable hands of Neil Nelson and Steel Rodeo. They have been playing around town and, if you haven’t heard them yet, know you are in for some great music. Rock, country and blues — that’s a winning trio. One of these has to make your feet happy.
This fund-raising event is for the Archuleta County American Red Cross and the Ross Aragon Community Center.
Tickets are $15 in advance and at the door. There will be a cash bar and sweet temptations. This is a 21 and over celebration ... sorry young ones.
All you need is a mask, and if you can’t swing that we’ll still accept your lovely face. It’s all for a great cause, so we hope to see you here. Tickets will go on sale Jan. 25.
A million thanks for all the donated Beanie Babies. We shipped 30 boxes to our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thank you for keeping this peace mission going. Please hold on to all your babies until next year, we are sure to have a need for them again. Thank you.
