The mission of the Computer Fix-It-Free Day is to provide free technical assistance to members of our community who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
The event, on Jan. 9, is to benefit those who have a computer, by means of hand-me-down or charity, that is not functioning correctly. Local computer technicians are donating their time.
Used parts will be provided at no charge for the purpose of repair by the Humane Society and the volunteering computer technicians. If new parts are needed, they will be provided at a discount.
If you would like to donate parts and/or used computers, the organization gladly accepts items that are less than five years old. Label the items “Fix-It-Free” and take them to the Humane Society Thrift Store prior to noon, Jan. 8.
Computer repairs are by appointment only. One computer per household will be repaired.
Interested individuals need to reserve a time slot by calling 731-6373.
