As we enter the typical flu season, individuals who want the seasonal flu shot can get it at upcoming flu clinics in Pagosa Springs.

San Juan Basin Health has just received more seasonal flu vaccine and is offering daily flu clinics from 8 to 10 a.m. beginning Monday, Nov. 30, and continuing each day until there is no more seasonal flu vaccine.

No appointment is necessary.

Clinics will be held at San Juan Basin Health at 502 S. 8th St.

Please note that seasonal flu shots do not protect individuals against H1N1. The CDC recommends that people get both vaccinations.

Rocky Mountain HMO and Medicare insurance are accepted. Bring your insurance cards with you. For other individuals, the seasonal flu shot costs $14.70 for children under 19 and $25 for adults.

Tdap (tetanus and whooping cough booster) and pneumonia immunizations will also be available. Thanks to a grant received by San Juan Basin Health, the cost for these vaccinations is just $14.70 for anyone.
