The juried art exhibit will continue to hang at Pagosa Mountain Hospital through Dec. 11.
We encourage anyone who is interested to consider becoming a sponsor and purchase one or more of the additional artworks on display for donation to the permanent art collection of the Pagosa Mountain Hospital and Clinic.
As a sponsor, you will be recognized with media attention, as well as with a plaque, if you desire, for your sponsorship. Your sponsored artwork will become a part of the permanent art collection of the Pagosa Mountain Hospital and Clinic.
To sponsor an artwork, please contact Roxanne Schick, administrative coordinator Pagosa Springs Arts Council (970) 264-5020 or Linda Echterhoff, Pagosa Springs Arts Council board president (970) 946-3693.

Gallery winter schedule
The PSAC Gallery in Town Park is now closed for the winter. Although the gallery will not be staffed on a regular basis, voice mail and e-mail will be checked regularly so please leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
You can e-mail us at email@example.com or leave a message at 264-5020. Also be sure to visit our Web site at www.pagosa-arts.com for additional information.
The Pagosa Springs Photography Club will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the Arts and Crafts Room at the community center. Join us for refreshments starting at 6, followed by photo critiquing and short business meeting at 6:30. We will then proceed to Jeff Laydon’s Pagosa Photography Studio.
The Pagosa Photo Club is pleased to welcome Jeff Laydon, a local professional photographer. We’ll go to Pagosa Photography studio for a guided tour through setup, lights, camera, action for a portrait session. Jeff will use his lights, equipment, camera, etc. to demo techniques and discuss with the group the minimal equipment needed for the individual.
A monthly photo theme exhibit is held during each club meeting. The two categories are the theme category and the open category where any subject is allowed. This month’s theme is “Shadows.” Members may enter as many as three prints or digital images, but no more than two in either category. President T. J. Reynolds will lead the critique of photos. This will be done as a group rather than with specific judges.
The Pagosa Springs Photo Club meets the second Wednesday of each month during the club year from September through May at 6 p.m. Interested photography enthusiasts are welcome to attend at no charge for the first meeting. Any and all are invited to join for annual dues of $20 for single individuals and $30 for family membership. For more information, contact Reynolds at firstname.lastname@example.org or 731-9681.
Plein Air Painters
This fun group meets at 10 a.m. on the third Thursday of the month at a predetermined location. Painters who work in any media are welcome. This group offers a wonderful opportunity for artists and art enthusiasts alike to share tips, ideas and resources. If the weather is nice, the group paints outdoors. If the weather is bad, the group paints in the community center Arts and Crafts Room. Please keep in mind that turpentine-based painting materials cannot be used in the center. Please call Jean Shah 264-0188, if you need more information.
The Pagosa Springs Arts Council sponsors and manages workshops in the Arts and Crafts Room at the community center. From the outset, the Arts Council has been a partner and supporter of the community center.
Call PSAC at 264-5020 to register for any of the classes and pre-registration is required. The next PSAC Workshop is Beading with Elizabeth Claire Baldwin on Dec. 5. The cost is $35, plus materials.
