Sunday Night Unplugged continues at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church

Performing this Sunday, Nov. 8, local musicians Paul and Carla Roberts will provide music for Sunday Night Unplugged, a nondenominational meditation at 5 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church.

Co-founders of Elation Center for the Arts in Pagosa Springs, the Roberts are well known in our community for performing music from many cultures on a variety of instruments.

The Roberts have performed on their rare collection of musical instruments from around the world at fine arts concerts and school assemblies since 1974. Harp, sitar, cheng and other instruments they play are particularly well suited for spiritual meditation.

Carla teaches ongoing music and dance classes in Pagosa. Paul has a special interest in the role of music in the healing arts; he began working in the field of music therapy in the 1967.

The Sunday Night Unplugged series brings members of the community together to experience a variety of meditation, prayer, worship or music within the church setting. Past Sunday Night Unplugged services have featured jazz, traditional, folk, cowboy, taize, and classical.

There is no charge and everyone is welcome.

St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church is located at 225 S. Pagosa Blvd. If you have any questions, call the church office at 731-5801.
