On Thursday, Oct. 1, Pagosa Springs High School will host a College Fair in the high school commons area from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
There will be representatives at the fair from 32 colleges, mainly from Colorado, but also many other states.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the people face-to-face who can answer all your questions about programs, scholarships, entrance requirements, etc., at their school.
It is a drop-in program: attend for the whole time, or stop by for 10 minutes.
Also, there will be a great book on sale for only $5 at the program: The 2009-2010 “Colorado Collegiate Handbook.” This book has plenty of specific information about every college and university in Colorado and is a worthwhile investment.
In addition, from 5 to 6 p.m. a spokesperson from the Boettcher Foundation will present a program in the auditorium on the subject of scholarships. This will be helpful information to give you the edge on your scholarship applications.
Both these meetings are open to any high school student and their parents. Home-schooled and privately-schooled students are welcome.
