It’s time to take some action and deal with the trash dumped in Martinez Canyon.
A barbecue picnic and trash pickup will start at the PLPOA Maintenance Shop at the end of Trails Boulevard at noon Saturday, Sept. 19.
Let’s get together for the barbecue at noon and the trash pickup project that will begin at about 1.
Organization of groups will be discussed at the picnic, depending on how many people show up. We’ll concentrate our efforts in the area between Lynx Court and Martin Court. Grid maps will be provided at the picnic.
If you’d like to bring a side dish or dessert, please do so, but don’t feel obligated. We’ll supply burgers, hot dogs, chips, salsa, potato salad and baked beans. Drinks will also be provided at the barbecue, as well as throughout the day.
Please dress accordingly and bring whatever you think you’ll need to assist you (sunscreen, gloves, good shoes, hat, sunglasses, bug spray, etc.). Trash bags will be provided.
Hope to see you there, and bring a friend. The more volunteers we have, the quicker it will go.
Please R.S.V.P. if you will be joining us for lunch: 731-5635, Ext. 26.
