An Aviation Venture Crew here in Pagosa Springs?

If you recall, we were chartered last year by the airport under the guidance and permission of the Board of County Commissioners .

This year as the new school year is beginning we are looking to increase our membership and afford young adults, men and women ages 14-20 an exciting program.

We will be exploring the aviation industry in all facets — with tours of Stevens Field and surrounding aviation facilities in Durango and Farmington.

Additionally, we’ll explore aviation maintenance, air traffic control, rotorcraft/helicopters, aviation careers, aviation physiology and much more.

Local youngsters interested in the Aviation Venture Crew are invited to attend a meeting at 6 p.m. Sept. 10, at Nick’s Hangar.
