On Sunday, August 16, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship service topic will be “The Sustainability of Consciousness.”
This presentation by Rebecca Koeppen will pay tribute to the Seventh Unitarian Universalist Principle: “Respect for the Interdependent Web of All Existence of Which We are a Part.”
She will discuss in-depth her concepts and definitions of “sustainability” and of “consciousness,” as well as techniques for achieving various levels of both.
Rebecca is an Holistic Health Consultant, a practitioner of homeopathy, an artist, a minister and a community activist. Currently, she is vice-chair of SASCO, The Sustainability Alliance of Southwest Colorado, headquartered in Durango. SOS, the Southwest Organization for Sustainability, which was started by our PUUF Fellowship here in Pagosa, is a sister organization to SASCO.
Enough water for every person sounds great, but unfortunately it doesn’t happen around the world. As part of their series on the UU Service Committee, the children and youth will hear stories regarding the human right to clean water. We’ll use sign language and songs, along with our stories, putting it all into action.
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome.
