On Sunday, Aug. 9, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship topic will be “UUs Love to Sing Gospel Songs: How Do They Relate to the Unitarian Universalist Seven Principles?”
John Graves will lead a participatory service considering how this medium has special relevance to UU principles and practices. From its roots in African American spirituals to its success in the popular music market, this genre will be explored though singing and discussion. In addition, several solo artists will perform.
The Children’s Religious Exploration group will hear the story of the hope-filled, powerful work done by the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee as it helps people in need around the world.
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.
All are welcome.
