Local kids invited to play chess pieces in living game
Friday, November 12, 2010

Chess players — as part of the Pirate and Renaissance Festival, Pagosa Chess Club is helping organize a kids’ chess tournament over the weekend of July 18-19.

The first two places will compete in a playoff match for festival champion.

The format of this will be an open-air, living chess game.

To this effect we are looking for kids to volunteer to play the part of the chess pieces. Any kids interested should contact either Anthony Steventon, 731-3029, or Karl Irons, 731-2342.
