‘America the Beautiful’ theme of July 11 celebration
Wednesday, July 22, 2009

The Pope John Paul II Catholic Church will host “America the Beautiful” on Saturday, July 11 — a night of good food, fun and friendship at the Pagosa Springs Community Center.

A barbecue dinner provided by Alley House Grille is an added amenity to the evening. Wonderful silent and live auction items will also be part of the event. Items include jewelry, art work, furniture, handmade items, services and much more. A cash bar will be open and delicious desserts will be served.

Attendees can purchase tickets for $25 per person or $250 for a table of 10 at the downtown mission church, Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Chamber of Commerce, or after masses at either Catholic church. The community is encouraged to attend as the evening is non-denominational, celebrates our wonderful country with beautiful decorations, and is slated to be fun for all. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with the silent auction closing down throughout the night and the live auction taking place about 8 p.m.

Inquiries can be directed to the Parish Office at 264-5702 or to Mary Jo Coulehan at 903-7815. Don’t miss this chance to garner some fabulous items and have a great evening with friends.
