Cow Plop Bingo is just one of the extra events held during the 60th annual Red Ryder Roundup® Rodeo being held at the rodeo grounds on July 2, 3 and 4.
The Kiwanis Club of Pagosa Springs is hosting this daily contest.
In this rodeo game, spectators purchase a square on a bingo card which represents the square footage in the rodeo arena. Longhorn steers are set loose in the arena and the first “plop” is located via GPS measurement to the bingo square. The winner receives a large cash prize generated from the daily sales of the bingo squares.
Bingo squares can be purchased from any Kiwanis Club member, at Coster Survey or Pagosa Land Company (businesses in the downtown corridor) or at the rodeo main entrance before each rodeo.
Tickets to the rodeo are available at Goodman’s Department Store and at the gate prior to the event. The cost is $10 per adult and $6 for children 12 and under. A limited number of box seats are available and can be purchased by calling 264-5000.
Sponsors for this rodeo series include Pagosa Land Company, The 2R/ Ranch-Jack and Claudia Rosenbaum, Bobcat of Durango, Budweiser, Devo Capital Management, First Southwest Bank, Grand Junction Pipe & Supply, The Junction Restaurant, Robert D. Lindner Ranches, Parelli Natural Horsemanship, Ponderosa Lumber Company, Re/Max Eagle’s Nest, Rio Grande Savings and Loan, Scott Strategic Investments, and Silver Dollar Liquors and Pagosa Bar.
