Celtic guitarist Jerry Barlow back by popular demand

Elation Center for the Arts presents Jerry Barlow, master Celtic guitarist, in concert at 7 p.m. Friday, June 26, at the Pagosa Lakes Clubhouse.

“Jerry Barlow: Master Celtic Guitarist” is a back-by-popular-demand performance, featuring a consummate musician whose fluid and melodic music soothes the soul, warms the heart and lifts the spirit. Well-loved as a warm and accessible performer, Barlow brings ancient melodies to life, sharing the humor and legends behind his music.

Born and raised in Denver, Barlow was a sought-after performer and songwriter in Nashville for many years. Since then, he has devoted himself to an innovative guitar style that captures the magic of ancient melodies traditionally been played on bagpipe, fiddle and harp.

He describes Celtic music as “music with great depth and beauty, chronicling the emotional experience of an entire culture.” A performer at the top of his craft, Barlow’s adaptation of classical guitar technique offers a refreshing music with a decidedly pleasing effect.
