Easter egg hunt
As committee members for the annual Pagosa Springs Easter Egg Hunt, we would like to thank all of the companies and individuals that joined in to make this another incredible Easter event.
We are so proud of our community for continually joining together to create a fun and free event for our families to enjoy. This year the weather did not work with us, but the Pagosa Springs Visitor Center opened its doors and invited all of the children to come in, enjoy some hot apple cider, some warm cookies and meet the Easter Bunny. The egg hunt was a mad house, and our children were able to enjoy the many treats and prizes that our local companies and individuals donated to the event.
Thank you to the Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center, Pagosa Candy Company, P.S. Just For Fun!, the American Legion, Cabins at Hartland Ranch, The Costume Pit, The Dogwood Café, Four Corners Backflow Testers, The Liberty Theatre, The Malt Shoppe, the Pagosa Springs High School, Piedra Automotive, San Juan Outfitting and Ms. Gina Willis. And a big thank you to Thad McKain of Pathfinder Construction for making sure that the Easter Bunny made it safe and sound to the event to meet all of the children.
I would like to thank one good friend and several strangers for helping me to have a happy ending on Sunday April 26. I was lost for several hours on an innocent hike that turned into a potentially dangerous situation. Don Willemi, and Jose and Chelsea Valdez were very helpful to my husband, Scott, in assisting to search for me. Thanks also to Kathy and Richard whom I regret to say I don’t know their last names. They made it possible for me to contact my husband. Thanks to all of their efforts I was able to sleep in my own bed and not out in the elements unprepared. There are still a lot of good people in this world. I appreciate all of you very much.
